Lipase for Biodiesel

The lipase for biodiesel production is a 1,3-specific lipase that is a highly effective catalyst for esterification. It can rearrange fatty acids preferentially, but not uniquely in the 1- and 3- positions of the triglycerides. The enzyme exhibits a high degree of substrate selectivity, allowing bulky side chains/large groups on the alcohol and acid part of the molecule.

Physical and Chemical Properties

Appearance: brown powder.

Enzyme activity: 100,000U/g.

Definition of Unit: One Unit of lipase activity is defined as the amount of enzyme which liberates 1μmol titratable fatty acids per minute from the substrate at 40℃ and pH7.5.

Functions

1.    Reduce the cost:

-      reduced raw material input, avoidance of expensive chiral resolving agents and alkali metals; lower equipment, labor and energy costs.

2.    Improve the productivity:

-     shortened synthetic route, increased production capacity with multiple batches; avoidance of monotonous protection and deprotection, higher yield.

3.    Improve the quality of APIs and intermediates:

-      reduced impurities in the final product, fewer or no by-products, high stereo, regio or chemoselectivity; less solvent use and residues.

4.    Reduce environmental pollution:

-      less waste and solvent usage, more energy saving.

Packaging

In woven bags, 20kg/bag.

Storage

Store in a clean, cool, dry and shady place. This product is bioactive. High temperature and extreme pH (strong acids and alkalis) will inactivate the enzyme. Therefore, please avoid direct sunlight and keep dry during transportation.

Shelf Life

12 months.
